Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant to the Vice President of Operations with proven leadership experience in the janitorial industry. This individual will play a critical role in supporting operational strategies, overseeing team performance, and ensuring efficient service delivery. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with hands-on knowledge of janitorial operations, staff management, and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the VP of Operations in managing day-to-day janitorial operations across multiple client sites.
- Supervise and support janitorial teams to ensure high-quality service standards are met.
- Implement and monitor cleaning protocols, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, and workforce management to ensure operational efficiency.
- Serve as a liaison between leadership, employees, and clients, addressing concerns and optimizing service delivery.
- Support training programs for janitorial staff, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Analyze performance metrics and contribute to strategic planning for operational improvements.
- Assist in budgeting, procurement, and supply chain management for janitorial equipment and materials.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to maintain quality assurance.
- Handle administrative tasks such as reporting, documentation, and compliance tracking.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in the janitorial or commercial cleaning industry is a must.
- 3+ years of experience in operations management, team supervision, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of janitorial procedures, safety regulations, and cleaning industry standards.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and operational management software.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
