Innovate along with a team of passionate engineers on WP Engine's next generation ideasWrite, test, integrate, debug, and solve backend software applications that are resilient, robust, secure, maintainable, and perform at scaleContinuously iterate on WP Engine’s secure, cloud based, performant software platform that supports millions of end usersBuild and maintain complex, backend workflows supporting and related to website lifecycle managementImprove code quality and test coverage, build deployment pipelines to safely and rapidly push new code to productionInvest in and fine-tune observability services to aid engineering and support efforts and create better feedback loopsConstantly look for opportunities to automate and optimizeCollaborate on technical solutions and system design across WP EngineWork closely with Product Management to ensure that your frequent, incremental code changes add new value to our customers
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or a related field) OR equivalent experience2+ years experience in a software development role, delivering high-quality softwareAbility to work with and switch between multiple programming languages (PHP or Golang or Python)Experience with cloud and containerized technologies and services - GCP, AWS, Docker, KubernetesExperience with developing and maintaining APIs and microservicesProven history of continuous learning and ability to stay ahead of technology trendsProactive with natural problem-solving abilities, an inquisitive personality, a continuous learning approach, and an eagerness to tackle big problems even with uncertain requirements
