Position Duties
- Review financial documents, business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial state of the business
- Manages the accounting staff
- Assists with the transition of on-boarding and off-boarding properties
- Responsible for maintaining property petty cash cards
- Reviews of all monthly financial packages, balance sheet schedules, and bank reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
- Assist with year-end audits
- Responsible for Security Deposit Compliance
- Review and approve invoices selected for payment
- Communicate effectively with community owners and onsite managers
- Excess cash calculations and projections as needed
Education and Experience
- Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least two years of experience in real estate accounting preferred
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task to meet required deadlines without immediate supervision
- Knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Experience with OneSite is preferred
