We are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) / VP of Sales with a robust background in healthcare to lead our commercialization efforts. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and managing patient reimbursement both CDx and LDT reimbursement strategies, as well as setting the overall strategy for lab commercialization. This role requires the ability to guide organizations through critical growth phases, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance patient care, optimize operations, and accelerate market adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercialization strategies for laboratories, focusing on reimbursement and market access.
- Guide organizations through critical growth phases, utilizing data-driven insights and innovative solutions to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Patient Reimbursement and LDT Expertise:
- Oversee the development and management of patient reimbursement initiatives and LDT reimbursement strategies to maximize access and compliance.
- Collaborate with payers and healthcare organizations to negotiate favorable reimbursement terms and ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Deep understanding of Moldx and CMS pricing, reimbursement and PLA/CPT coding practices
- Expertise in the CMS application process
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Collaborate and support buildout of sales, marketing, billing, market access, customer service, pharma services, and commercial operations teams to ensure alignment and support for strategic objectives.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments to enhance product development and market entry.
Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage budgets related to commercial activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Monitor financial performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve business goals.
- Business Development:
- Develop and support tailored business strategies for early and growth-stage companies in precision medicine, biopharma, and life sciences.
- Secure high-value partnerships and collaborations to support commercialization efforts and enhance market presence.
Sales Force Development:
- Build and lead a sales organization, including hiring and mentoring a diverse team of sales professionals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth, increase revenue, and expand market share
- Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and refine sales tactics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a commercial/ sales leadership role within the healthcare sector.
- Proven expertise in developing and managing patient reimbursement processes and LDT reimbursement strategies.
- Strong experience in guiding organizations through growth phases using data-driven insights.
- Demonstrated success in developing tailored business strategies for early and growth-stage companies in precision medicine and biopharma.
- Experience in crafting pitches, securing capital, and advising on investor relations and corporate communications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
