Role Overview
SafeRide Health seeks a dynamic strategic Network Vendor Manager (Remote, 20% Travel). This role centers on cultivating and enhancing relationships with our transportation providers, ensuring mutual objectives are aligned, combining strategic relationship building with tactical execution. The ideal candidate will not only ensure our providers meet established metrics but will be pivotal in influencing them towards strategic outcomes that are in sync with SafeRide’s vision.Primary Responsibilities
- Vendor Management:
- Cultivate deep relationships with transportation providers to demonstrate how partnering with SafeRide helps them achieve their goals.
- Engage and collaborate with top-performing transportation providers toassist in expanding their current geographic footprints
- Handle both inbound and outbound communications, addressing vendor inquiries with guidance and feedback for ongoing improvement.
- Conduct regular check-ins with and performance evaluations of each provider using scorecard reporting.
- Collaborate with Complaints & Grievances (C&G) on Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) for providersas necessary.
- Encourage digital adoption by Transportation Providers (TPs).
- Ensure that our transportation providers are adhering to key performance metrics and SLAs.
- Actively follow up with providers to confirm rides, ensuring transportation commitments are met consistently.
- Monitor rides being delivered by your vendors to limit and/or identify potential fraud, waste, or abuse
- Miscellaneous Duties:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving ride escalations from the routing team, facilitating successful ride deliveries.
- Partner with internal teams to synchronize our business strategy with the provider network's capabilities.
- Perform additional tasks as necessary to support the organization's evolving needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years in a vendor management role with proven experience building and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively in-person, via email, and over the phone.
- Ability to think strategically and anticipate future trends, needs, or challenges
- Proficient in conducting negotiations to achieve favorable contract terms, resolve disputes, and ensure provider satisfaction.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business conditions, handle ambiguity, and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A positive attitude and genuine empathy in interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degreeor equivalent (Pre-healthcare experience a bonus)
- Familiarity with health insurance programs (Medicaid, Medicare, NEMT) and related guidelines
- Experience collaborating with multiple internal departments, ensuring alignment of strategy and execution
Job Requirements:
- Must pass a criminal background record check.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
