The technology and analytics hub of The Agora Companies, is seeking a highly motivated and analytical
BI Analyst to support a wide range of business intelligence needs for our affiliate publishers and corporate departments. This role is ideal for someone who is client-focused, a critical thinker, and passionate about uncovering business insights to drive strategic decision-making.As a BI Analyst, you will collaborate directly with the Senior BI Analyst and Data & Analytics team to deliver impactful reporting, dashboards, and data-driven solutions. This is a hybrid role based in Baltimore, MD.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance BI solutions – Build and maintain BI databases, reports, and dashboards that transform raw data into actionable business insights.
- Analyze and define business needs – Work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements, ensuring that deliverables align with strategic goals.
- Data visualization & reporting – Create wireframes and mock-ups to gain consensus on data visualizations, ensuring clarity and value for end-users.
- Data integrity & business logic – Identify data sources, define mappings, and establish business logic between source systems and reporting tools.
- Quality assurance & testing – Develop test plans to validate data accuracy and ensure all user requirements are met throughout the SDLC lifecycle.
- Operational support – Act as a subject matter expert on reports and dashboards, providing insights and answering data-related questions.
- Collaborative problem-solving – Work closely with team members to define task priorities, interdependencies, and execution plans.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in a business intelligence or data analyst role.
- Strong SQL skills – ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
- Excellent problem-solving ability – adept at piecing together complex data puzzles.
- Strong communication & presentation skills – able to clearly translate data insights into business recommendations.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented – takes notes, follows through, and ensures accuracy.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills – able to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Adaptability & urgency – thrives in fast-paced environments, managing shifting priorities with ease.
- Experience with direct marketing analysis, campaign management, customer segmentation, and retention analysis is a plus.
- Experience in consumer services, subscription-based businesses, or related industries is a plus.
Compensation Range: $80,000 - $90,000 USD annually
