About the Role 


The Enterprise Solution Architect will focus on the Chinese market and work closely with Enterprise Account Managers, Software Engineers, and Deployment teams to customize Altium's enterprise solutions for Chinese clients. This role is responsible for understanding client deliverables and ensuring successful outcomes. The Architect will engage with clients to assess their current environments, demonstrate the value of Altium's Enterprise Solutions and create tailored deployment plans that address specific client needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of both internal and external stakeholder requirements, help define a robust technical strategy, and effectively communicate the value of our solutions.

A Day in the Life of Our Enterprise Solution Architect


  • Work with Enterprise Account Managers, Software Engineers and Deployment Managers to develop customized development plans for each account.
  • Ensure the customer’s requirements and expectations are properly set.
  • Use in-depth knowledge of client, industry, business processes, and deep knowledge of the product and technical expertise to drive and increase adoption and usage of Altium's Enterprise Solutions.
  • Collaborate with Altium’s Deployment Engineers, Customer Success (Technical Support) and R&D organizations to ensure clear definition and timely resolution of issues, and to propose solutions internally that continually add value to the customer.
  • Work with the Deployment team to help handle escalations of deployment and customer productivity blocking issues, and coordinate related activities with Sales, R&D, and Customer Success (Tech Support).
  • Work with Engineering and R&D to resolve software issues that have the highest impact to the customer and Altium’s business.
  • Work with Account Managers and Deployment Engineers to help reduce churn, enable client expansion, and ensure software renewal and retention.

Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:


  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent degree and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in secondary development for EDA/PLM or relative products.
  • Experienced in customer success, account management, or a client-facing role in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) industry.
  • Experience with PCB/ECAD Library/component management, PLM integration, and databases desirable.
  • Ability to engage customers at business level to drive alignment, and execution.
  • Ability to be highly effective in a matrix management organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to travel up to 40%.
