Gradient is on a mission to make billing reconciliation effortless for MSPs. We’re a small-but-mighty remote team helping IT service providers ditch the spreadsheets and reclaim their time. Our Managed Billing Reconciliation (MBR) service takes billing chaos and turns it into clarity—and we’re growing fast.Now we’re looking for someone to own the numbers. Someone who loves clean books, smooth systems, and maybe even a good spreadsheet pun. If that sounds like you, keep reading.The Role:As our Accounting Lead, you’ll keep our internal finances in check and support our MBR service, where we help MSPs make sure what they’re billing lines up with what they’re being charged by vendors.

No more underbilling, overcharging, or head-scratching spreadsheets.You’ll be hands-on with the day-to-day, but also thinking ahead—how can we make this process smoother, cleaner, and smarter? We’re lean, scrappy, and growing fast, so we need someone forward-thinking who’s ready to take the reins and run.What You’ll Be Up To:

  • Keeping our books tight: month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, all that good stuff
  • Diving into MBR work—reviewing vendor invoices and PSA (Professional Services Automation) data to make sure clients are billing accurately
  • Building reports that actually help people (no fluff)
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting
  • Pitching in on some light admin: credit card reconciliation, receipt wrangling, and making sure our finance ops don’t miss a beat
  • Working with our Ops, Success, and Product teams to keep everything aligned

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3–5 years of solid accounting experience
  • CPA or working toward it? Awesome.
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in SaaS or know PSA tools like ConnectWise or Autotask
  • Startup-ready: you’re organized, adaptable, and don’t wait for someone to tell you what to do
  • Detail-obsessed, but not stuck in the weeds
  • Someone who can manage accounting, ops tasks, and still have a little fun while doing it
