We are seeking a passionate and experienced Product Manager to join the CoinDesk Product Management team.As the Product Manager for our On-Chain Data and Analytics offering, you will drive the roadmap and development of integrations and analytics. These products will drive revenue directly via our Institutional digital asset data offering and service products across the CoinDesk platform including Media, Research and Indices.This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit that wants to own and drive their own roadmap in a growing business and market.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own the On-Chain Product Roadmap: Define, prioritize, and deliver On-Chain initiatives that align with CoinDesk’s strategic objectives.
- Market Research & Strategy: Conduct in-depth research on on-chain analytics trends, competitor offerings (e.g., blockchain data providers/platforms), and customer needs in digital assets to identify opportunities where on-chain data products can differentiate the CoinDesk Data offering.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver on-chain data solutions.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of on-chain-powered products, from ideation to full-scale launch, ensuring alignment with CoinDesk’s data services.
- Foundations and 3rd Party Vendors: Identify and partner with Crypto Foundations and 3rd party providers to optimize data acquisition for real-time blockchain parsing, ensuring reliability and cost efficiency.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of advancements in blockchain indexing, zero-knowledge proofs, and cross-chain interoperability (e.g., LayerZero, CCIP), proposing innovations to enhance CoinDesk’s analytics offerings.
- Travel Requirements: Some domestic and international travel required to collaborate with node providers, exchange partners, and blockchain conferences.
Experience & Qualifications
- 2+ years of product management experience, preferably within the digital asset landscape.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field. Advanced degrees (Master's or PhD) are a plus.
- Ability to code with Python/Other Languages and basic SQL for data analysis and deriving insights.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in agile, iterative product development environments delivering at a high velocity.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage insights for product decisions across the exchange and media company.
- Comfortable being the “face of a product” both to internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a distributed and dynamic organisation where priorities can change frequently.
Extra Points
- Familiarity with the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and digital assets markets. Understanding of blockchain data and the underlying fundamentals that are used within trading strategies.
- Experience building API products either as a direct revenue driver or being used within other products.
- Have worked previously for start-up or SME.
