What you’ll do…
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician with experience in low-voltage and 3-phase power systems, generator maintenance, and field-based electrical troubleshooting. This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, maintaining and repairing switchgear, generators, circuit breakers, and 24V control cabinets at multiple sites.If you enjoy hands-on electrical work, solving complex electrical issues, and working independently in the field, this role is for you.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Perform routine electrical maintenance on generators, switchgear, circuit breakers, and 24V control cabinets.
- Troubleshoot and repair 3-phase power systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and generator controls.
- Diagnose faults in electrical panels, motor controls, and low-voltage (24V) control systems.
- Work with mechanical teams to support planned and unplanned generator maintenance (equipment swaps, alternator repairs, etc.).
- Use multimeters, meggers, and other electrical test equipment to verify system functionality.
- You will be responsible for the electrical maintenance and support of sites in and around your area and will be required to travel in support of those sites. Must be willing, and have the flexibility, to be away from home for potentially several days at a time when major maintenance is due. This will vary based on location.
- Accurately log work orders and track time using mobile apps and online tools.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies.
- Travel to various sites to support system maintenance and repairs.
- Work closely with our Houston based team for training, lessons learned, knowledge sharing and remote support.
Requirements
You’ll sweep us off our feet if you:
- 3+ years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience, preferably in generator maintenance, switchgear, and 24V control cabinets.
- Solid understanding of 3-phase electrical systems, circuit breakers, and low-voltage control systems (24V).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and in physically demanding environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical systems, including generator controls and 24V control cabinets.
- Basic computer skills for logging work orders, time tracking, and remote system monitoring.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What you’ll need:

Machines & Equipment
- Prior generator maintenance experience.
- Electrical knowledge related to ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches), power meters, and backup power systems.
- Prior US Naval Nuclear Electrical training (EMN or ETN) with 4+ years of experience.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This is a field-based role, requiring work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Must be able to lift, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces.
- Certain times of the year, heavy travel is required, including overnight stays for work at remote sites.
- Must be comfortable working with 120V, 277V, and 480V systems, as well as generator equipment.
