Part-Time Psychometrician (Remote, 10–15 hrs/week)
Location: Remote (Preference for Central Time Zone)Hours: 10–15 hours per week, with potential for additional project-based workWe’re seeking a detail-oriented, fast-responding Psychometrician to support ongoing development and analysis of assessments for our ANAB-accredited Certificate Program (CAP) and Certified Food Protection Manager (CFP) Certification Exam.This is a flexible, part-time role ideal for a self-starter who can manage both routine psychometric tasks and serve as a strategic thought partner as we grow and strengthen our certification and certificate programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct item-level psychometric analyses (e.g., difficulty, discrimination, distractor effectiveness)
- Evaluate and validate both fixed test forms and LOFT (Linear-On-the-Fly Testing) models
- Apply Classical Test Theory (CTT) for item and form analysis
- Review question performance and recommend edits, reworks, or retirements
- Ensure alignment to test blueprints, learning objectives, and job roles
- Serve as a consultative partner, offering recommendations to improve assessment performance and quality
- Support planning and execution of upcoming Job Task Analyses (JTAs), including the CFP JTA planned for 2027
- Collaborate with SMEs and internal stakeholders on exam development and improvements
- Work within Docebo (LMS) to manage items and metadata
- Contribute to accreditation documentation and reporting needs
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with psychometric analysis, especially using Classical Test Theory
- Familiarity with both fixed-form and LOFT testing models
- Understanding of certificate and certification standards (ANAB or NCCA preferred)
- Experience supporting Job Task Analyses or occupational research
- Working knowledge of Docebo or similar LMS platforms
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a remote, deadline-driven setting
