The Gist...
You will be instrumental in supporting application development in an Agile environment. Our team of technologists are building mission critical solutions for our government customers.
What Your Day Might Include...
- Work with a team of software engineers, test automation engineers, designers, and product owners to bring team's conceptual solutions to life in a mature Agile/DevSecOps environment prioritization, risk management and scope
- Work in a paired programming environment 90% of the time; Core hours 9AM-5PM EST required.
- Leverage experience by working with different application teams and technology stacks in order to provide our clients with exceptional solutions and functional products.
- Develop new functionality to deliver product releases.
- Ensure solutions follow philosophy of human centered design and co-created experiences.
Requirements
You'll Bring These Qualifications...
- 1-2 years of experience with software development, software architecture, APIs, and microservices.
- 1-2 years of experience with full stack development including Ruby, Ruby on Rails, React, React Native (mobile), JavaScript, and Python.
- 1-2 years of experience with build, deployment, and release automation and orchestration in a DevOps environment including OpenShift, Amazon ECS, GitHub, Jenkins.
- 1-2 years of experience with Javascript testing proficiency such as React Testing Library (https://testing-library.com/docs/react-testing-library/intro/), Jest : https://jestjs.io/;
- Familiarity/experience with Cypress.io and or Selenium.
- Experience supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as OpenShift, EKS, and Docker.
- Experience writing and evaluating user stories, acceptance criteria, and pull-requests.
- Experience working in HCD, Agile and DevSecOps environments desired.
- Experience Lean Design, Test Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
- A passion to contribute to the full stack – the front-end, backend and anything in-between (middleware or otherwise).
- Comfort in a Unix-centered (preferably Mac) development environment.
- Comfort and familiarity with Unix shell scripts, environment setup, bash/zsh shell commands (find/grep/export/source).
