The HR Specialist will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the human resources department. This position is primarily responsible for assisting the HR team with work projects and high priorities.
Shift (24 hours, 3 days) Monday – Wednesday (may vary depending on coverage need
The Human Resources Coordinator at Curant Health plays a vital role in supporting the HR team by managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, and providing exceptional service to both employees and management. This position focuses on administrative support, recruitment coordination, employee engagement initiatives, and maintaining accurate HR records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support across HR functions, including recruiting, employee relations, new hire orientation, and record management.
- Coordinate and track exit interviews and employee engagement surveys.
- Maintain employee records in both electronic and paper formats.
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives and events.
- Collaborate with the HR team and leadership to provide general administrative support.
- Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures in alignment with company standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, I-9 verification, E-Verify, and exit interviews.
- Support compliance efforts related to labor laws, EEO, FMLA, and other federal/state regulations.
- Assist with job postings, resume screenings, and scheduling interviews with hiring managers.
- Prepare new hire paperwork, facilitate orientation, and coordinate workstation setup.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, open enrollment, and procedures.
- Contribute to HR initiatives related to employee recognition and company culture.
- Assist in conflict resolution and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Prepare reports and track key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, and engagement.
- Support training programs, succession planning, and performance management efforts.
- Participate in special HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources or a similar administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or corporate setting.
- High school diploma required; Associate degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- Experience with HRIS systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and team-focused mindset.
