We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team at Lantern.
- Perform SQL Server installation, upgrades, migrations, and configuration.
- Establish databases, users, roles, and permissions.
- Initiate, monitor, and troubleshoot log-shipping.
- Configure and maintain mirroring. Install database service packs and cumulative updates, as necessary.
- Create SQL jobs to automate tasks.
- Manage releases and perform testing.
- Support IT teams to resolve incidents and problems, as needed.
- Assist with development of documentation for standards requirements within the department.
- Write and modify SQL queries, stored procedures, and SSIS packages.
- Execute queries to produce reports that track performance metrics and systematize automated reporting processes.
- Coordinate with IT teams to com
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or Information Technology; and 2 years’ experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator or SQL Developer, which should include demonstrated experience with the following skills, which may have gained concurrently:
- SQL Server installation, upgrades, migrations, and configuration.
- Administration and maintenance of SQL services on Azure and AWS environments.
- Development of documentation for standards requirements.
