Position Summary:


We are seeking a Sales Associate to work within the global sales team to drive lead generation for one of the key business lines at Xpansiv:  the Xpansiv Connect meta-registry and portfolio management system.    The Xpansiv Connect meta-registry and portfolio management system currently links to 14 environmental registries and facilitates ~1 billion environmental credit transfers annually. The largest user group of this platform are found in the US Renewable Energy space. US renewable demand is projected to double from now until 2030 driven by increased data center demand for AI which we predict in turn will see an increased demand for this product. The role will support the Sales team with key customer account coverage and focus primarily on sourcing and generating new leads.

Responsibilities


  • Generate leads and foster interest in our Xpansiv Connect portfolio management service. Although many of the leading REC participants are active on Xpansiv Connect, there is still huge potential to grow the user base significantly.  
  • Analyze existing North American renewables and sustainable fuels landscape to identify potential targets. Develop consistent outreach/sales strategies to secure intro meetings with key firms.  
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the environmental markets landscape across North America  
  • Work with commercial and product teams to leverage customer feedback to enhance the Xpansiv Connect platform  
  • Manage sales campaign planning, execution, and tracking in Salesforce 

Skills & Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of experience working in environmental/commodity markets 
  • The position requires a passion for renewable energy and associated environmental market-based mechanisms.   
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets 
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and developing strong client relationships 
  • Experience conducting outbound calls, emails, and meetings to generate leads and convert prospects into clients 
  • Strong technical and analytical skills 
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mind set  
  • Ability to learn in a dynamic work environment and work to achieve goals 
  • Effective communicator with an aptitude for building relationships 
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with desire to expand expertise across new applications, as needed

Base Salary


Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, knowledge, education and training.
