UZURV is a 170+ person, growing technology company based in Richmond, VA. The company operates in 15 states and is now expanding nationally. As an Adaptive Transportation Network Company, the UZURV mobility platform serves individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and others who need assistance with independent transportation.UZURV’s platform combines rideshare with specialty credentialed, drug and alcohol tested drivers to provide safe, reliable mobility and a higher level of care for the transportation disadvantaged.

A little bit about the role…
The Compliance Associate will provide direct support to the Compliance Manager in the execution of regulatory and company tasks required of transportation network companies (TNC). The Compliance Associate will assist with ensuring the company complies with regulatory compliance obligations in multiple states and markets. The Compliance Associate shall regularly prepare reports and keep up to date with the latest developments in TNC regulatory law at local, state, and national levels. As the Compliance Associate, you will be responsible for the following:
- Support the Compliance Department with background screenings and regulatory onboarding for drivers across multiple states.
- Verify candidates’ work eligibility, criminal and motor vehicle histories using various tools and databases.
- Analyze and document background check results, conduct follow ups on discrepancies, and maintain accurate records while handling PII securely.
- Stay informed on state specific legal and regulatory background check requirements.
- Assist in maintaining compliance guidelines and verifying accuracy of compliance data in internal systems.
- Track and report on compliance KPIs and document non compliances.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Compliance leadership.
We are excited about you because…
- You have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in any field, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- You bring one or more years of experience in regulatory compliance and research/analysis in a workplace setting.
- You are highly detail oriented, able to meet deadlines, and comfortable running and interpreting reports.
- You are proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Tools, with a knack for accuracy and thoroughness.
- You have experience with regulatory agencies, law, or transit and transportation services are preferred but not required.
- You have excellent organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication abilities, and a keen sense of discretion
