We make it easy for enterprise organizations to reduce manual operations and simplify network management from Day 0/1 deployment, Day 2 changes, and beyond.Job Description:As a Senior Technical Product Manager for Automation products, you will orchestrate the execution of complex networking products that empower Itential's customers.
You'll lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact automation products on time, within budget, and to quality standards while navigating technical complexities and organizational dependencies.Key Responsibilities: The Sr. Technical Product Manager at Itential is responsible for providing strategic insight into the broader product roadmap, working with customers and stakeholders to define new products and detailed requirements and execute on product direction.
Strategic & Product Leadership
- Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for network automation solutions based on business needs and technical capabilities
- Develop comprehensive business and product requirements and technical specifications in partnership with product development and engineering teams
- Identify market trends and evolving technologies to inform long-term network infrastructure strategy
- Create business cases that justify product investments and calculate expected ROI
- Translate high-level business requirements into technical solutions and communicate technical constraints to business stakeholders
- Establish and track key performance metrics to measure product success and identify improvement opportunities
Program Execution & Delivery
- Align diverse stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and resource allocations across engineering, operations, and business teams
- Develop detailed product program plans with clear milestones, deliverables, and critical path dependencies
- Identify and mitigate program risks and blockers through effective problem-solving and escalation when necessary
- Lead retrospectives to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across program execution.
- Present technical concepts and program status to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
- Drive operational excellence by establishing monitoring systems, reliability standards, and incident management processes
- Facilitate decision-making across organizational boundaries, influencing without direct authority
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 7+ years of experience in technical product or program management specifically in the infrastructure or networking domains
- Experience managing complex technical programs with multiple workstreams and dependencies
- Proven track record of delivering products that meet business objectives
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Strong understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and technology trends.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- A solid understanding of software development processes and hands on experience working with Agile-driven engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA
- 10+ years of experience in technical product management for infrastructure or networking initiatives
- Experience with AWS network services and cloud infrastructure
- Background in implementing large-scale network transformation programs
- Expertise in risk management and mitigation strategies for technical programs
- Experience with program management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet)
- Track record of leading distributed teams across multiple time zones
