Your Mission:

Banza is more than just a pasta company, and as we expand to additional categories, we’re accelerating our growth and bringing our products to more people! As a Senior Category Management Associate, you’ll support strategic growth efforts for the entire Banza portfolio by taking advantage of Banza’s wealth of data to drive smarter business decisions. You’ll help lead category management efforts across the organization and ensure decisions and sales materials are rooted in insights.

What You’ll Do:


  • Support category management efforts across Banza’s Pasta, Mac, Pizza and Waffles product lines
  • Collaborate with product line owners to help tailor company strategy to sales execution and ensure the Sales team is armed with insights and data to drive sales
  • Collaborate with sales on category review preparation to understand overall strategy, including helping craft presentations, insights, and marketing materials tailored to customers
  • Create reports and insights using data from syndicated platforms (Nielsen, Numerator, etc) and retailer portals
  • Support Sales and Operations teams on forecasting strategy and process
  • Work closely with executive leadership and cross-functionally across the organization to drive growth and bring Banza to millions more happy customers

Who You Are:


  • BA/BS with 3-4+ years of work experience
  • Experience in CPG/food in a category management role
  • Cross-functional project manager, experienced in operating within and across sales, marketing, category management, operations, and product
  • Highly analytical, with strong quantitative and Excel skills
  • Category management experience in Tableau, Nielsen/IRI, or experience with other large datasets.
  • Intuitive understanding of how to design and optimize concise sales stories to partner with customers
  • Driven and intrinsically motivated, highly organized, with the ability to jump from a single store’s sales results to an entire brand strategy
  • Able to both ruthlessly prioritize and amicably communicate
  • Passionate, able to sell a vision to those around you, while being willing to change your mind when new information comes to light
  • Passionate about what Banza’s doing!

Compensation 


Our salary ranges are based on verified market data and our philosophy of paying competitively for our size and industry. Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.  We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. The salary band for this role is $80,000-$100,000.

The range is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated to you as a candidate.
