The Opportunity
· Own the development of payroll processes aligned with best practices as the company grows · Process semi-monthly US payroll through Paylocity · Handle disability claims, approve benefit earnings and deductions, create HSA accounts with Anthem, process one-off manual enrollments and terminations with carriers · Work closely with the HR director to ensure a successful annual open enrollment · Maintain Anthem, Lincoln, and Fidelity file feed; own configuration of future needed file feeds · Complete timely and accurate payroll reconciliation following each pay date · Manage third party payroll processing relationships with international providers · Open and close tax accounts · Work closely with the HR Director on annual 401k, workers comp, and other benefit and compliance related audits · Create and process ad hoc reports · Work with department heads and the Accounting department to add commissions, reimbursements, bonuses, and process annual and ad hoc salary increases to payroll batches · Work closely with the HR director to ensure a successful annual open enrollment · Maintain Anthem, Lincoln, and Fidelity file feed; own configuration of future needed file feeds · Adhere to PA’s Payroll Calendar to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll · Own configuration of benefit deductions with open enrollment and reconcile benefit information to payroll records · Process annual off-cycle bonus payroll and related deductions · Manage process and workflow development including benefit file feeds, etc
The Person
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5 years experience in payroll processing and operations
- 3 years of full-cycle payroll ownership required
- Benefits admin experience strongly preferred
- Experience with payroll process improvement required
- Intermediate-advanced Excel skills strongly preferred
- Paylocity experience preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting operations preferred
- Experience working with international payroll providers preferred
- Benefit plan audit experience preferred
