Are you interested in…Working with large volumes of real-world application data?Improving business outcomes based on insights you provide from your data analysis?Getting hands on experience alongside a collaborative and nimble project team?As a Vail Data Analyst Intern, you will practice translating business questions into actionable intelligence. You'll do so by interpreting requirements, interfacing with multiple data sources, and applying statistical models to test hypotheses. In addition to your work with data, you will hone your communication skills as you collaborate with your project team to shape stories, convey the results of your analysis to non-technical audiences, and advise leadership on the impact of potential business decisions.
As a result of your internship, you will help Vail improve its applications and provide greater value to our customers.#BI-Hybrid
Qualifications
- Be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Data Science, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Have experience analyzing data quantitatively and qualitatively.
- Have familiarity with SQL or other database structures.
- Have experience with Excel.
- Have serious interest in performing strategic analyses.
- Some knowledge of data visualization best practices, preferred.
- A talent for storytelling, preferred.
- Experience communicating data/results to non-technical audiences, preferred.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Superset, or other data visualization tools including Excel, preferred.
- Experience with a statistical programming language such as R or Python, preferred.
