Reporting to the Head of Technology, you’ll oversee team development, manage HR responsibilities, guide roadmap planning, and build stakeholder relationships. In this role, your strategic oversight will create a team culture that fosters scalable data processes and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a team of three, fostering their growth and navigating challenges in alignment with team goals—own HR responsibilities, including hiring, performance reviews, and skill development.
- Roadmap and Planning: Lead roadmap planning and prioritization of high-impact projects, working closely with stakeholders to align project goals and strategic priorities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: As the primary liaison with other departments, managing communication and relationship-building to gather reporting requirements and align on strategic insights.
- Architecture and Security Ownership: Oversee the architecture of the team’s tech stack, ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with data governance standards.
- Ensure processes and technology comply with data governance and data security regulations and policies.
- Facilitate adherence to data integrity practices guided by overall cyber security standards.
- Pipeline Management: Ensure efficient data pipelines for seamless data flow from various sources to data stores available to analysts.
- Team Culture and Processes: Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive team environment. Establish and refine team processes, improving efficiency and creating clear paths for communication and feedback.
- Budgeting and Metrics: Manage the team's budget and resource allocation and take ownership of reporting key team metrics to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a management role with HR responsibilities, team development, and stakeholder communication.
- Proficiency in data engineering skills, including data architecture, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Deep understanding of algorithms to transform data into usable forms.
- Demonstrated success in roadmap planning and prioritizing work based on business impact.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders at various levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with data visualization and management tools like Tableau, Snowflake, and Figma.
- Experience with 5Tran for ETL processes.
- Experience employing software engineering methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, architecture design, and service-oriented architecture.

- Strong data engineering and data architecture expertise.
- Proficiency in ETL processes and data warehousing.
- Ability to use advanced data visualization tools for insights and reporting.
