Summary of Responsibilities:
The Senior IT Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for the quality assurance and testing of application software and infrastructure solutions. Define quality assurance standards and cultivate a strategic vision for test automation. Design and develop test automation components that can be reused across test suites/cases. Create, execute, and automate test suites and test cases for new and existing SERS technical solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Institute quality assurance and test automation strategies.
- Cultivate a test automation roadmap based on industry tools and techniques.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance metrics, standards and best practices.
- Monitor and maintain automation capability and maturity.
- Mentor and coach on QA and automation methodologies and tools.
- Develop and implement test plans, test suites, and test cases for testing:
- SMART (line of business) application, user portals, and other system interfaces
- Infrastructure and operations projects and initiatives
- Review and provide feedback on the accuracy and completeness of requirements and design documentation.
- Design and execute manual system test cases to meet business requirements.
- Perform system testing to meet release and deployment milestones.
- Generate test documentation and update ServiceNow tickets.
- Design, develop, and execute automated test suites/cases.
- Design and develop reusable test automation components for all phases of testing.
- Evaluate and review test suites/cases for inclusion in a test automation framework.
- Utilize test automation tools/frameworks for developing test software.
- Design, develop, and execute performance testing.
- Utilize SQL Server based tools for data inquiry and test data creation.
- Plan and direct system and user acceptance testing activities.
- Build strong partnerships and work collaboratively within IT and with business partners on the execution of system and user acceptance tests.
- Implement automated test cases using modern test languages and techniques.
- Report on automated and manual testing efforts.
- Perform independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
- Demonstrate excellent planning, organizational, and time management practices.

Desired Educations, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related field;
- Fiveyears of experience as a QA Analyst/Engineer or similar position; with
- Expert understanding of QA methodologies and test automation tools/frameworks (e.g Selenium, Ruby, Cucumber, Robot Framework, etc.); and
- Proficiency in programming languages like C++/C#, Python or similar; and
- Three years experience with Robot Framework, Ruby/Cucumber or similar software testing platform; or
- Focus on quality by enforcing high standards of work from the team,
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail,
- Uses collaborative relationships to build partnerships that facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
- High degree of conceptual thinkingincluding identifying key or underlying issues in complex situations,
- Excellent oral and written communications skills,
- Ability to work independently with little oversight,
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipating needs and acting accordingly,

Working Conditions:
This role operates in a professional office environment and is subject to prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines and may need to be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Information Technology staff members are eligible to work remotely 2 days per week, after 30 days of employment.
