The Opportunity
Direct Digital Holdings is seeking a Strategist, Paid Search to join the team at Orange 142.The Paid Search Strategist supports campaign execution by managing intermediate paid search campaigns, conducting keyword research, and drafting ad copy that aligns with brand guidelines. This role monitors performance metrics, budgets, and competitor data while collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure accurate campaign deployment and optimization.This is a remote position, but preference will be given to candidates local to Austin, TX or Houston, TX with the ability to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
Responsibilities
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Create campaign strategies, set up and manage basic paid search campaigns based on client goals.
- Advanced Keyword Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive keyword strategy, including negative keywords.
- Ad Copy Creation: Draft ad copy and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
- Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Track campaign performance, report on KPIs and interpret data trends while providing actionable insights to internal team. Conduct quarterly account maintenance audits.
- Optimization Ownership: Take charge of ongoing campaign optimizations to improve ROAS.
- Budget Monitoring: Maintain daily budgets and flag overspend or inefficiencies.
- Budget Allocation: Distribute budgets effectively across campaigns for maximum ROI.
- Bid Adjustments: Execute simple bid changes based on team recommendations.
- Competitor Research: Gather competitor data to inform keyword or ad adjustments.
- Team Communication: Present performance reports and campaign updates to internal teams.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in marketing, advertising, or another related field is preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Paid Search using Google Ads and Bing Ads is required. At least two (2) years of experience is preferred.
- Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
- High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills
- Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points
- Ability to learn new industries and new business types quickly
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Compensation
Base salary plus annual bonus and benefits.
