At Paragraf we are committed to materially transforming electronics through the development of high-purity graphene products that will facilitate massive improvements in the performance of technologies across all aspects of life.The role will support our R&D and Production operations by leading the team responsible for maximising the performance of all plant and infrastructure. Additionally, support Paragraf’s scale-up plans, including the expansion of facilities and installation of new equipment. Tackle both hard and soft facilities management challenges that arise across Paragraf’s sites.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Facilities Technicians to ensure that Paragraf’s infrastructure is installed and operating with best-in-class performance, consistency, and quality.
- Oversee all hard and soft facilities management across Paragraf’s sites.
- To deliver a robust programme of planned preventative maintenance across Paragraf’s facilities, plant, infrastructure, and supporting equipment.
- Implement and manage robust facilities monitoring processes, using data driven decision making to drive optimum performance and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement through analysis of infrastructure performance to drive up key operational metrics.
- Take the lead in resolving infrastructure operating issues through collaborative troubleshooting, solution identification and rapid rectification.
- Support, and where necessary manage, the implementation of new infrastructure and support equipment as Paragraf expands capacity and capability, liaising with manufacturers and partners to resolve issues and keep equipment optimised.
- Always take responsibility for maintaining safe working practices, including the implementation of safe systems of work and full legislative compliance.
- Managing and growing the emergency response team, as well as being the main point of contact on the ground if emergency scenarios arise.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications:
- HNC/HND or equivalent
- City & Guilds Engineering qualifications would be advantageous
- IWFM Level 4 Facilities Management certificate would be advantageous
- NEBOSH / IOSH H&S Management certificate would be advantageous
Experience:
- Significant experience of working at a similar level within a high-technology manufacturing or research and development environment – experience and detailed working knowledge of semiconductor cleanroom facilities and the associated systems would be a significant advantageous
- Experience of building teams and training staff in technically challenging processes and concepts.
- Working in a fast-paced Production environment.
- Experience managing an emergency response team would be advantageous
Skills and knowledge:
- Knowledgeable in hard facilities management, specifically in the infrastructure supporting semiconductor processing environments (e.g. HVAC, building management systems, high purity gas supply systems, LV/HV systems, extraction systems, water cooling systems, pneumatics, pumps, purification systems, abatement systems, vacuum systems, control electronics, safety systems, etc).
- Knowledgeable on soft facilities management (e.g. security, cleaning, grounds maintenance, pest control, waste management, etc.)
- Able to continuously improve the Operational Effectiveness of Paragraf facilities by analysing performance and implementing effective preventative maintenance.
- Ability to work collaboratively to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and derive effective solutions to minimise downtime.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to contribute ideas, effectively communicate technical information, and develop your team to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Diligent and methodical approach to work with a focus on completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, people, and workloads.
