Director, Corporate FP&A

FIGS is seeking a Director, Corporate FP&A to be a key leader on the Finance team. The Director of Corporate FP&A will report directly to the CFO and work closely with Commercial Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, and Data teams.  The ideal candidate has 8+ years of business planning and forecasting experience in a Corporate FP&A setting at a public organization. This person enjoys modeling, big data sets, and thinking about process improvements and other business efficiencies.

What you’ll do:


Strategic Planning and Analysis-

  • Owns development of the long-range financial model and associated analysis to support the strategic planning process and support strategic initiative development.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop long-term financial strategies and objectives.
  • Support M&A activities, including due diligence and integration planning.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Owns the planning and execution of the annual budgeting process, including the development and consolidation of detailed financial plans.
  • Manage the quarterly forecasting and monthly reforecast process to ensure accurate and timely financial projections.
  • Conducts monthly variance analysis providing explanations and managing risks and opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with budget owners to help them build and manage their department-level budgets while understanding how the drivers in their portion of the business ultimately impact the P&L
  • Owns and updates people forecasting model
  • Owns capital budgeting and forecasting

Financial Reporting-

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management
  • Prepares quarterly financial presentations for the Board of Directors and coordinates with business leaders on BOD special topics.
  • Completes MD&A of 10Q and 10K reports

Performance Management-

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the company’s financial performance.
  • Conduct financial performance reviews and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Business Partnership-

  • Act as a strategic partner to business units, providing financial guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.

Systems-

  • Implement and maintain financial planning systems and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
  • Automating the infrastructure behind FIGS’ managerial financial reporting and driver-based budget / forecasts

Team Leadership-

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for team members.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business field
  • CPA or MBA
  • 8+ years of experience in Corporate FP&A, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting
  • Public company experience
  • Planful experience preferred or another equivalent planning solution - OneStream, Oracle PBCS / Hyperion
  • Excel mastery and familiarity with Google Sheets
  • Proficiency with SQL and/or other business intelligence tools (Looker, Power Query / BI, Tableau), a plus
  • E-commerce, consumer products, or retail experience, a major plus

FIGS Compensation and Benefits


Pay Range

  • At FIGS, your base salary is one part of your total compensation package. This role's base salary range is between $165,000 and $190,000. Actual base salary is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
